Holiday tunes will be performed during “Songs for the Season,” six joy-filled mini concerts featuring local musicians from Cape and Atlantic counties. Taking place at Stone Harbor’s Harbor Square Theatre, the show starts at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, with doors opening at 8:15 p.m., and includes an array of holiday songs sung in all styles and genres. Come early and purchase food and drinks from the Burger Bar to bring into the theater with you. Santa Claus may even make an appearance to brighten the night. Admission is $25 with $5 of each ticket supporting Save the Children’s Hurricane Maria fund. The theatre is located at 271 96th St. Go to HarborSquareTheatre.com.

1. Patty Blee & Ernie Trionfo

Singer-songwriter Patty Blee will be joined by guitarist Ernie Trionfo to take the stage together Saturday night. Get ready for some Christmas songs with an Americana twist, courtesy of of Blee’s perfect mixture of blues, folk, rock and country sounds. Both artists have performed together around the area at various venues and events for years.

2. The Squares

Talented trio The Squares will perform two of their original Christmas pieces. Based in Cape May, the group includes Debra Donahue on vocals, M.Q. Murphy on vocals and guitar and J.M. Kearns on vocals and acoustic guitar. All three artists’ voices combine to create beautiful melodies to accompany an eclectic mixture of jazz, folk, pop, blues and rock..

3. C. Lynne Smith

Expect C. Lynne Smith to capture the joy of the season when she delights the audience with her soulful vocals and talented guitar picking. Her style is said to range from country to folk rock, but regardless of what genre she chooses, her love for music will be evident.

4. Bernadette Matthews

Jazz vocalist Bernadette Jazz vocalist Bernadette Matthews will perform a gospel Christmas tune along with some standard holiday favorites. A member of Cape May band The Capers, she is known for her beautiful vocals, reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald.

5. Lena Dougherty

Young performer Lena Dougherty will belt out a rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” to ring in the season. An aspiring Broadway performer, the 15-year-old Middle Township High School student will grace the audience with her vocal skills.

6. Marnie & Nate

Long-time local duo Marnie & Nate will perform a mixture of rock ‘n’ roll and blues holiday numbers. Marnie, producer of the event, teamed up with Nate after moving to Cape May County in 1998. The two formed band Soulshine in 2011. Nate will accompany on guitar as Marnie leads the audience in some Christmas favorites.
