With the unpredictable April weather, spend an afternoon indoors this weekend at Encounters on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Pretend to be a spy as you maneuver your way through this laser maze, then try your feet at the extensive mirror maze, sure to keep the family busy for hours. 2. Play indoor mini golf

Right next to Encounters is Haunted Golf, an 18-hole indoor mini golf course for those April days that can’t make up their mind. The 5,000-square-foot course offers a creepy-yet-silly feel, with talking animals and spooky effects. Follow the voice of Bones, the singing skeleton who greets passers-by on the boardwalk. 3. Climb a rock wall

Two locations at the shore offer indoor rock climbing as a way to pass the cooler days. PLAAY Fitness and Yoga in Ocean City has a rock climbing wall with top rope climbing, auto belay and bouldering. $25 adults, $15 kids ages 10 and younger. 4. Try an escape room

On those windy April days, step inside off the Boardwalk at Tropicana Atlantic City and try Escape AC, the only casino escape room experience. You and your friends will literally be locked in a room for 60 minutes and have to find your way out by solving clues and puzzles. 5. Check out an arcade

Spend an overcast afternoon inside mastering your game skills. Mariners Arcade in Wildwood is open 10 a.m. daily April 13 to 20. Closes 8 p.m. Fridays, 9 p.m. Saturdays, 6 p.m. Sundays and 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. 3501 Boardwalk, Wildwood. Call 609-522-5563 in the case of bad rain.
