1. Play indoor tennis/racquetball

Take a swing at the winter blues while playing indoor tennis at Greate Bay Racquet & Fitness, 90 Mays Landing Road, Somers Point. 2. Take dance lessons

Dance the evening away indoors out of the cold at Seashore Gardens Living Center. Weekly ballroom dance lessons are taught by instructor Lynda Thomas, who has been teaching at Seashore Gardens since 2005. Classes are 7:30 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Attendees of all ages can get moving to dances such as the Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, and Rumba. No partner is necessary; beginners are welcome. Cost is $6 per class. 22 W. 3. Go roller and ice skating

Speed through to spring at the newly-renovated Hammonton Skating Center, complete with disco lights, a boomin’ sound system, and obstacle-course for the kids. Let out some pent-up energy while roller skating 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays during Family Night. Embrace the cold and make the trip to Winding River Skating Center in Toms River for both indoor and outdoor ice skating. 4. Play volleyball

Spike down the winter doldrums 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays during Somers Point’s adult volleyball league. No advance notice is required, just drop by the Jordan Road School Gymnasium on a Monday night and join a pick-up game. The league is $35. 129 Jordan Road, Somers Point. 5. Go Bowling

Neon lights and hit music will carry you through a cold winter evening during Glow Bowling at King Pin Bowling in Egg Harbor Township. 10 p.m. to close Fridays and Saturdays. $16 includes unlimited games and shoe rentals.
