Doyle's Pour House is an Irish-themed bar and restaurant with an impressive selection of Irish whiskey and beers, an enticing lineup of weekly food and drink specials and live entertainment on Saturdays, alternating weekly between its two Ocean County locations.
The original bar and restaurant in Tuckerton is co-owned by Brion Magnani and Pete Fabian, who opened the establishment eight years ago. Six years later, in 2010, they joined with Mike Flanagan and John Schmidt to open a second location, this time in Barnegat Township.
Speaking on both locations, Magnani described Doyle's Pour House as "a corner bar with an Irish theme" adding that although it is not a 100 percent authentic Irish pub, when it comes to the beer and whiskey, it fits the bill.
Food and Drink Specials:
Doyle's Pour House offers a wide selection of Irish whiskeys and beers, the latter including Kilkenny, Guinness and Harp. The pub also has a rotating selection of craft beers, an extensive cocktail list and more than a dozen American draft beers on tap.
Happy hour is 4 to 7 p.m. daily at both locations, and includes $1 off all draft beers, wines by the glass and well drinks as well as a $3.99 select appetizer menu with mouth-watering selections such as "Irish nachos" - potato pancakes topped with cheddar and bacon - fried mac and cheese bites and their "famous" wings.
Doyle's also has other weekday specials, including its popular Yuengs and Wings night every Thursday from 8 p.m. to midnight, which includes $2 Yuengling pints, $2.50 bottles and $3 basket of wings, and it's a $1 special on 10-ounce Coors Light "all day, every day."
"We wanted to make it an affordable night out, especially for our locals who regularly frequent our businesses," Magnani says. "(Doyle's Pour House) is a place where you can come get a beer and a burger and watch a game and not break the bank."
Doyle's Pour House hosts live acoustic musicians every Saturday, alternating weekly between its two locations.
This Saturday, April 27, Matt Fisher will be performing at the Doyle's in Barnegat. Next Saturday, May 4, Jimmy Brogan will perform in Tuckerton.
Entertainment starts at approximatly10 p.m. and continues into the wee hours.
The Barnegat location also hosts "The Quiz Show," a DJ-hosted trivia game night on Tuesdays starting at 8 p.m. with prizes awarded to the top three teams.
