The first and likely last time the casual music fan heard of the rock-pop group Hanson was in the late '90s when it released its hit single "MMMBop," a song so inescapable and infectious it became almost instantly infamous.

It still can't be avoided today - it's featured on the soundtrack for "The Hangover Part III," and the three brothers recently teamed up with Mustang Brewing to make a beer called Mmmhops.

But the trio from Oklahoma were much more than their sugary debut, and they are now in their 20th year as a band. Their sixth studio album, "Anthem," is due out June 18, with plans for a coordinated world tour this year.

They will also be at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel on Thursday, June 6, for an intimate show at Ego Bar and Lounge organized by radio station SoJo 104.9-FM, which has offered its listeners a chance to meet the group.

Their half-hour set, free and open to the public, will likely include their latest single, "Get The Girl Back," a track they describe as indicative of the styles found throughout their new album.

"The sound of this record touches on most of our musical influences," says Isaac Hanson, in a statement, "a bit of soul, a bit of song craftsmanship and some good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll … this time it just has a little more fight in it."

The brothers Isaac, 32, Taylor, 30, and Zac, 27, said their plan heading into the third decade of making music together is to stay dedicated to their craft and the loyal supporters who have stuck with them long after they became a household name.

"We have always been in awe of the ability music has to engage people, whether it's a song that makes you want to dance, or a song that inspires you to take action for a cause," says Taylor Hanson in a statement"We want this record to be the anthem for all of those moments."

See them live: Hanson will perform and discuss the new album at the "Hanson Happy Hour" hosted by SoJo 104.9-FM 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, in Ego Bar and Lounge in Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel. The event is open for guests age 21 and over. Meet and greet is for SoJo VIPs only.
