The NJ Bartenders Ball, formerly known as the Atlantic City Bartenders Ball, is back with a night to celebrate the service industry.

The black tie charity event will benefit The Independence Fund for wounded veterans. The ball had previously supported local charities including the “HERO” campaign for designated drivers.

This years event, set for the Mixx nightclub at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, will take place beginning 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 7. More than 1,000 bartenders and service industry professional from across New Jersey are expected to attend.

Tickets for the event are $65 and include a one hour champagne open bar, followed by a two hour premium open bar, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment.

The Independence Fund is an outlet that brings the love and support of Americans directly to severely wounded veterans. The fund is a 100 percent volunteer-based non-profit organization whose Board of Directions consists entirely of combat veterans. Because the organization’s administrative costs are less than 1 percent each year, more than 99 percent of every dollar donated to The Independence Fund goes directly to a Veteran.
