Patrons enjoy libations at the Carousel outside bar at The Springfield Inn in Sea Isle City. The restaurant and bar is celebrating its 40th season with all new bands and festivities.

Memorial Day Weekend marks the start of the 40th season for Sea Isle City's The Springfield Inn.

To celebrate, they've lined up some of the most coveted bands in the land with performances both day and night all weekend long, plus DJ Brother Mike playing between sets.

"Forty years is a big deal," co-owner Terry Eidenberg says. "We tried to get the best names around."

The celebration starts 4:30 p.m. Friday with a performance by Element K on the deck, then moves inside at 10:20 p.m. with a performance by The Goodman Fiske Band.

"There's one of the newer bands out there but they're excellent," Eidenberg says.

Saturday's lineup includes The Juliano Brothers Band at 4 p.m. inside and Rad & Kell on the deck, also known as The Carousel. Then later in the night it's Love Seed Mama Jump starting 10:20 p.m.

Capping off the weekend Sunday is She's Trubble playing on the deck from 4:30 to 9 p.m., The Juliano Brothers Band from 4 to 8 p.m. and LeCompt at 10:20 p.m.

"They've been around forever and have a huge following," Eidenberg says of LeCompt.

The same could be said for The Springfield Inn.

New shows, events:

This summer, The Springfield Inn will be welcoming new performances by The Next, with lead singer Tyler Grady, who is an American Idol top 24 finalist, Steamroller Picnic and Love Seed Mama Jump.

"We're really excited for the new talent," Eidenberg says.

Returning crowd favorites will include The Matt Santry Band, Please Please Me and The Juliano Brother Band, she says.

On June 9, The Springfield Inn will sponsor the fourth annual Peyton's Promise 5K Run / 2K Walk, honoring 4-year-old Peyton Laricks, of Sea Isle, and her courageous fight against CDH. More info at

The Springfield Inn has been in Eidenberg's family since 1972, the year her parents Joe and Liz Bisciotti opened it. She and her sisters, Betsy Cooney and Joanne Bisciotti, are now co-owners.

Aside from the awesome entertainment, two top features of The Springfield Inn are size and location. There's seven bars and plenty of room to party, and it's situated right by the beach, Eidenberg says.

"You can see the people coming and going," she says.

Other info: Live entertainment Friday through Sunday, daily starting June 8.
