St. George’s Pub in Brigantine not only stays open all winter long, the bar and restaurant also stays busy with great weekly events and live entertainment.
The pub, known for providing good food and a good time, is open year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The only time it closed over the past 23 years of business was during Hurricane Sandy, when it closed for a day after being forced to by the island police. They were back open before the water had receded.
St. George’s Pub is owned by Jim Fowler, who is as much of the business as is the building. Locals and loyal visitors will tell you its not often Fowler can be found outside the pub.
Great live music:
St. George’s Pub knows how to have fun. The bar hosts live bands every Friday from March through September, starting at about 7 p.m. They also host karaoke beginning 8:30 p.m. Saturdays led by DJ Mike Maggio.
The karaoke night is more like big old party.
“They sing, they dance. It’s a real good time,” says bartender Mary Copsey.
In addition to just musical events, St. George’s hosts Quizzo Wednesdays and happy hour 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays featuring 50 cents off all drinks and $1 off drinks on Mondays.

St. George’s Pub serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, all homemade and made to order. On Tuesdays, all appetizers are buy one, get one free. In addition, St. George’s claims they have the best wings on Earth.
