Chef Rob Pappas, of Galloway Township, stands in the old storage room converted to dining space at Bocca Coal Fired Bistro in Margate. The restaurant opened Oct. 10 after the owners gutted and renovated the building. Then Sandy came along 19 days later and flooded the restaurant. But they were one of first in town to reopen, partly because of a fast cleanup crew, but also thanks to lots of volunteer help - some from people they hardly knew.
