Gov. Chris Christie's plan for Atlantic City and gaming has been cast as a "north vs. south" battle.

But not completely. The Newark Star-Ledger, firmly planted in North Jersey, has an editorial today supporting the redirection of all Casino Reinvestment Development Authority funding into Atlantic City.

I particularly like the reasoning: "If Atlantic City dies, there's no casino money for anyone."

Right. Let's hope that people like state Sen. Richard J. Codey - who called the CRDA plan a "screw-the-north" policy - is reading.

And he should be, since the Ledger is his home paper.
