PHILADELPHIA - James van Riemsdyk, the 21-year-old rookie forward from Middletown, N.J., will be back in the lineup for the Flyers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Chicago Blackhawks today at 8 p.m.

Van Riemsdyk, who had been a healthy scratch for the past two games, will replace Dan Carcillo. Both players had dressed for almost all the team's regular-season and playoff games until the returns of Jeff Carter and Ian Laperriere in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals gave the Flyers a full lineup, forcing someone to be scratched. Carcillo missed Games 4 and 5 of the conference finals and Game 1 of the Cup finals, then played in the past two games.

Van Riemsdyk had 15 goals and 20 assists in the regular season, and two goals and two assists in 18 playoff games. Carcillo had 12 goals and 10 assists in the regular season, and two goals and four assists in 17 playoff games. One of those goals was the game-winner in Game 3 of the first round against the New Jersey Devils.

Van Riemsdyk is expected to return to his regular spot on the third line with center Claude Giroux and winger Arron Asham.
