Andy Reid was getting frustrated, maybe even a little angry.

It was bad enough that it was about 90 degrees in the post-game interview room at FedEx Field and Reid was sweating profusely.

"If I have to stand up here and answer too many more questions," he said, "I'm going to lose 150 pounds."

But he was more perturbed over the negative tone of the questioning. He had just coached the Eagles to a 27-17 win over Washington, but all anyone wanted to talk about was the lack of consistency in his offense.

He had a point.

Yes, the Eagles did not look like Super Bowl contenders against the Redskins. It's important to note, however, that they didn't have to dominate. They just had to play well enough to win.

That's pretty much been the case for every NFC team so far, with the exception of New Orleans. Other than the Saints, has any other team been that impressive?

The Giants? No.

The Vikings? No.

There is still plenty of season left for someone to separate themselves from the pack. (By the way, the Pack also hasn't been too good).

Maybe if the Eagles beat the Giants on Sunday, cynics will give them some credit.

And Andy Reid can stop sweating.
