TAMPA, Fla. - Greetings from Raymond James Stadium, where the Eagles are trying to snap their eight-game losing streak against the Buccaneers.
Besides watching the game, the Eagles fans in the stands will have endure watching Jon Gruden, Keyshawn Johnson, Warren Sapp and the rest of the 2002 Bucs team celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Super Bowl championship.
They advanced to the Super Bowl by whipping the Eagles 27-10 in the '02 NFC championship game in the final game played at Veterans Stadium.
None of the current Eagles' players were on that team. Defensive end Trent Cole, defensive tackle Mike Patterson and injured tackle Todd Herremans are the elder statesmen. All three were draft picks in 2005.
Patterson is not at the game today, having contracted viral pneumonia on Thursday. Running back LeSean McCoy (concussion), quarterback Michael Vick (concussion) and safety Kurt Coleman (sternum contusion) are also out with injuries.
Vick reportedly passed his latest ImPACT test, but has yet to be cleared by an independent neurologist or team physican Dr. Gary Dorshimer to play again. Regardless of when he is cleared, he will be serving as the backup to rookie Nick Foles.
Coach Andy Reid announced last week that Foles will start the final four games of the regular-season.
Other inactives: tackle Matt Kopa, running back Chris Polk and wide receiver Greg Salas.
