The Eagles added some much-needed depth at cornerback Sunday by claiming Shaun Prater off waivers from Cincinnati.

They then waived/injured cornerback Curtis Marsh, who had been sidelined with a broken hand.

With both Marsh and Brandon Hughes out with broken hands, the Eagles were down to just four healthy cornerbacks in starters Bradley Fletcher and Cary Williams, plus backups Brandon Boykin and Jordan Poyer.

Prater, a fifth-round draft pick for the Bengals in 2012, missed all of last season with a knee injury.

In other news, the Eagles signed tackle Michael Bamiro, linebacker Travis Long, wide receiver Greg Salas and running back Matthew Tucker to their practice squad Sunday. They still have four spots available.
