PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles bounced back from their worst performance of the season with their best on Sunday night.
One week after getting embarrassed in Arizona, they thrilled their fans at Lincoln Financial Field with a 19-17 victory over the rival New York Giants.
Eagles place-kicker Alex Henery provided the winning points with a 26-yard field goal, his fourth of the game, with 1 minute, 49 seconds left in regulation.
Giants place-kicker Lawrence Tynes actually had two chances to give his team the victory, but missed a pair of 54-yard field goals in the final seconds. His first kick sailed wide left, touching off a wild celebration in the stands, but Eagles coach Andy Reid signaled timeout. Given another try, Tynes next attempt was short of the crossbar.
Eagles running back LeSean McCoy paced the offense with 123 yards on 23 carries. He had only 2 yards on six carries in the first half. Quarterback Michael Vick completed 19 of 30 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown to wide receiver DeSean Jackson and committed no turnovers.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning was 24 for 42 for 309 yards with two TD passes and an interception in the end zone that proved costly.
