EAST RUTHERFORD - The Eagles rebounded from a terrible start to take an early lead over the New York Giants today.
Running back LeSean McCoy's 1-yard run and four field goals from place-kicker Alex Henery helped the Eagles earn a 19-7 halftime lead over the Giants at MetLife Stadium.
Giants fans booed the team as they left the field.
The Giants (0-4) started quickly. Quarterback Eli Manning completed a 49-yard pass to wide receiver Hakeem Nicks on their first possession to set up David Wilson's 5-yard TD run.
The Eagles cut the deficit to 7-6 on a pair of Henery field goals, then took the lead on McCoy's 33rd career rushing touchdown. Quarterback Michael Vick found wide receiver DeSean Jackson for a 56-yard gain on the drive.
Vick left the game just before halftime with a sore left hamstring. Nick Foles replaced him and marched the Eagles deep into Giants' territory to set up Foles' 36-yard field goal as time expired.
Foles completed 7 of 8 passes for 68 yards on the drive. Vick rushed for a game-high 79 yards. The Eagles outgained the Giants 303 yards to 184 in the first half.
