PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles are 30 minutes away from snapping their seven-game losing streak.

Rookie running back Bryce Brown rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in the first half to help the Eagles take a 15-14 lead over Carolina at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles spotted the Panthers a 14-3 lead, then scored 12 unanswered points on Brown's 65-yard TD run and two of place-kicker Alex Henery's three first-half field goals.

Carolina took a 14-3 lead on a pair of touchdown passes by quarterback Cam Newton against a porous Eagles secondary.

Newton fired a 24-yard TD to wide receiver Gary Barnidge on the Panthers' first drive, then found Brandon LaFell for a 43-yarder on the next possession.

The Eagles cut the lead to 14-6 on place-kicker Alex Henery's franchise-record 18th straight field goal, then closed to within two points at 14-12 on Bryce Brown's 65-yard run.

Brown's TD was the longest run by an Eagle since LeSean McCoy had a 66-yarder against the New York Giants on Nov. 1, 2009.

They took a 15-14 lead on Henery's 45-yard field goal with 3:20 left in the first half.

The Eagles lost two players to injuries in the first half. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson was taken to the locker room for Xrays on his chest and collarbone, then defensive tackle Fletcher Cox went for Xrays on his tailbone.
