DENVER - The Eagles were unable to keep up with Denver in the first half today.

Costly penalties and breakdowns on defense and special teams by the Eagles enabled the Broncos to grab a 21-13 lead at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning threw one touchdown pass, running back Knowshon Moreno ran for a score and kickoff returner Trindon Holliday added a touchdown for Denver.

Eagles running back Chris Polk scored on a 4-yard run on his first career NFL carry and place-kicker Alex Henery booted two field goals.

Holliday's 105-yard kickoff return was the longest against the Eagles in their history, topping the 104-yarder by Buddy Young of the old Baltimore Colts in 1953.
