EAST RUTHERFORD - The Eagles will need a major comeback to avoid ending the season with another loss.

The New York Giants scored touchdowns on their first four possessions to take a 35-7 halftime lead Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter to give the Giants a 21-0 lead.

The 21 points were the most allowed by the Eagles in a first quarter since they gave up 24 against Buffalo on Dec. 2, 1990.

The Eagles opened the game by recovering an on sides kick but could do little else until quarterback Michael Vick threw a 7-yard TD to wide receiver Jeremy Maclin in the second quarter.
