Nick Foles' season is over.

The rookie quarterback sustained a hairline fracture in his right (passing) hand during Sunday's 27-20 loss to Washington and will not play in next Sunday's season finale against the New York Giants.

Coach Andy Reid said Monday in quotes provided by the team that there is a "very good chance" Michael Vick will be the starter.

Vick was deactivated as the Eagles' No. 3 quarterback against the Redskins. Trent Edwards served as Foles' backup.

Vick has not played since sustaining a concussion against Dallas on Nov. 11. He was cleared to start practicing two weeks ago and was eligible to play against the Redskins.

"He's had a couple of weeks of practice," Reid said. "He was a little rusty the first week, but this past week he threw it around well.

"Vick feels good. He obviously deserves that opportunity to play. I talked to him this morning and he's excited about it."
