PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles failed to protect a 10-point lead Sunday and wound up with a disappointing loss.

Detroit's Jason Hanson booted a 45-yard field goal in overtime to seal a 26-23 victory over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles were clinging to a 16-13 lead in the fourth quarter when quarterback Michael Vick found wide receiver Jeremy Maclin alone across the middle and hit him in stride for a 70-yard touchdown that put the Eagles ahead 23-13.

The Lions quickly closed the gap again, however, when quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a 17-yard TD pass to wide receiver Nate Burleson to cut the Eagles' lead to 23-20.

After a three-and-out by the Eagles' offense, the Lions drove down the field again and forced overtime on Jason Hanson's 19-yard field goal, his third of the game, with :03 left in regulation.
