PHILADELPHIA - Greetings from Lincoln Financial Field, site of new coach Chip Kelly's first preseason game.

As noted yesterday, QBs Michael Vick and Nick Foles will only play the first quarter against New England before giving way to rookie Matt Barkley. RB LeSean McCoy is not expected to play tonight after missing portions of several practices with a bruised knee. Ditto for LT Jason Peters, who has been bothered by a strained hamstring.

Besides Vick and Foles, here are a few players to keep an eye on against the Patriots.

1. C Jason Kelce: Tonight's game marks his first action since last year's regular-season opener. Kelce tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his knee against Cleveland and missed the rest of the season. He is the key for the Eagles' offensive line.

2. WR Riley Cooper: He came under fire last week after a video surfaced showing him uttering a racist slur at a Kenny Chesney concert. Cooper missed four days of training camp while reportedly undergoing counseling, but returned to have a tremendous performance in Tuesday's joint working with the Pats.

3. QB Matt Barkley: The fourth-round draft pick from USC had hoped to challenge Vick and Foles for the starting job, but has yet to get a chance. He can rise up the depth chart with a solid showing tonight. He will play the second and third quarters.

4. LB Trent Cole: He spent his first eight NFL seasons as a defensive end, but is now making the switch to outside linebacker in Eagles defensive coordinator Billy Davis' 3-4 scheme. He lost weight in the offseason to improve his quickness.

5. CB Curtis Marsh: Marsh, a third-year veteran, gets the start tonight in place of Cary Williams. Williams, who won a Super Bowl with Baltimore last season, missed most of the offseason program because of a variety of personal issues and has been sidelined for most of camp with a strained hamstring.
