Qa'id Muhammad stays unbeaten

Atlantic City bantamweight Qa'id Muhammad stayed undefeated Saturday night by registering a fifth-round knockout over Jamal Parram, of St. Louis, at Fitzgerald's Hotel & Casino in Tunica, Miss.

Abdur Rahim Muhammad, his father and trainer, said via text message late Saturday that the Muhammad (8-0, 7 KOs) posted seven knockdowns agianst Parram (6-7-1, 4 KOs) during the scheduled six-round bout.

Four more local undefeated boxers- Millville junior-middleweights Ismael Garcia (4-0, 1 KO) and Thomas LaManna (9-0, 5 KOs), Atlantic City super-middleweight Isiah Seldon (6-0, 3 KOs), Atlantic City welterweight Anthony Young (6-0, 2 KOs) -  will be in action next Saturday at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville.

Garcia will fight Nasser Abdel Malik (1-0, 1 KO), of Cary, N.C. LaManna will face Erick Hernandez Perez (2-2-1, 1 KO), of Batesville, Ark. Seldon will meet Trenton native Alando Swain (5-2, 1 KO). Young will take on Joel Flores (4-4, 3 KOs), of Hart, Mich.
