Stockton, Montclair improve minority graduation rates

Richard Stockton College and Montclair University have made impressive progress in improving the graduation rates of minority students according to a report by the Education Trust.

Stockton improved its minority student six-year graduation rate by 7.5 percent, from 51 percent to 58.5 percent between 2002 and 2007. Almost 14 percent of Stockton's students are minorities. The overall graduation rate for all students in 2007 was 67.8 percent.

Montclair improved its minority graduation rate by 14 percent,  from 41 percent to 55 percent.  More than 28 percent of the college's students are minority. The graduation rate for all students in 2007 was 61.2 percent.
