Aaron Kesselman is heating up for the Princeton University ice hockey team.

After going scoreless in the Tigers’ first five games this season, Kesselman, a sophomore from Mays Landing, has scored twice in the past three.

Kesselman scored Princeton’s only goal Saturday in a 3-1 loss to Massachusetts-Lowell. Teammate Will MacDonald passed to Kesselman from the corner, and Kesselman fired a wrist shot from near the top of the circle that beat the goalie glove-side.

One week earlier, in a 7-2 loss to Clarkson, Kesselman scored when a teammate’s slapshot from the point sailed wide and bounced off the back boards. Kesselman, set up in front of the net on the far side, quickly pulled the puck back from behind the net and tucked it into the goal before the goalie could get over.

Princeton is 3-4-1 overall this season but 2-1-1 in the ECAC, which plays its conference championships at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
