New Jersey Motorsports Park to allow fans to drive on tracks for free Saturday

If you’ve ever attended a race at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville and wondered what it’s like to drive on the tracks there, now is your chance.

NJMP will hold its second annual “Open House” on Saturday. Admission is free, though it is limited to the first 8,000 people to register at www.njmp.com/openhouse.

Fans can take three laps on the F1 Karting track or drive their cars or motorcycles on Thunderbolt and Lightning raceways. All three tracks are open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Below is the day’s schedule:

9:00a-5:00p F1 Karting open

9:00a-5:00p Concession stands and food trucks open

9:00a-5:00p Finish Line Pub open

9:00a-5:00p Vendor marketplace and Children’s activities open

9:00a-12:30p Thunderbolt Raceway open to motorcycles

9:00a-12:30p Lightning Raceway open to cars

12:00p Rising Stars dance performance at F1 Karting

1:00p Rising Stars dance performance at F1 Karting

1:30p-5:00p Thunderbolt Raceway open to cars

1:30p-5:00p Lightning Raceway open to motorcycles
