Jeremy Roenick has been a favorite of Philadelphia Flyers fans ever since the flashy but tough forward played here from 2001-04.

He shouldn't be any longer.

Roenick ripped Philadelphia fans on a cable TV show that will air tonight.

In a discussion about the most annoying sports fans on has-been comedian Jay Mohr's new show "Master Debators" on Fuel TV (what?), Roenick was the first to bring up the booing Santa Claus incident. Very original.

Later, he went on to say, "Do you remember when Tie Domi of the Maple Leafs was playing the Flyers and he was in the penalty box and that Philadelphia fan dove through the glass into the penalty box after the guy. ... That is messed up fans. Philadelphia fans, crazy, crazy sons of bitches."

Roenick also sat and allowed an even more offensive statement to go unchallenged when the host fabricated this story: "They threw snowballs at Michael Irvin on a friggin' stretcher. The guy might have had a broken neck and they threw freaking snowballs at him."

Since this was a show no one will ever watch on a network no one has ever heard of, maybe J.R. thought his comments wouldn't make it back to Philadelphia.

Wrong.

For anyone interested in seeing the entire clip, here it is.
