Ryan Truex has raced just three times in the NASCAR Nationwide series since May 5, but on Sunday he will be in a Joe Gibbs Racing car for the second week in a row.

Following a 10th-place finish last weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Truex will be back behind the wheel at Chicagoland Speedway. Due to limited sponsorship, Truex has driven in just six of 17 Nationwide races this season, and none back-to-back until now.

"I'm ready to get to Chicagoland and race on Sunday,” Truex said in quotes provided this week. “It's the first time this season I'll be behind the wheel two weeks in a row, and it definitely helps to have that rhythm each week in and week out.

Truex raced twice at Chicagoland last year. In the first race, with Pastrana Waltrip Racing, he started ninth and finished 20th. In the second, with JGR, he started fourth and finished 13th.

“I've learned a lot in my past Chciagoland races and will carry those experiences into this weekend,” Truex said. “I'm heading into this weekend as I do every race, drive smart and make sure I keep my Grime Boss Camry out of trouble to be in contention at the end.

“There's a lot of potential to succeed and have a great run this Sunday, especially it being a standalone Nationwide series race and the possibility to qualify for Nationwide Insurance's Dash 4 Cash."
