Ryan Truex is taking the next step.
The NASCAR driver from Stafford Township announced via Twitter on Monday afternoon that he will make his Sprint Cup debut April 27 in Richmond.
Truex will drive the No. 51 car for Phoenix Racing. That car was driven last season by veterans Kurt Busch and A.J. Allmendinger.
Truex also announced that he will drive in the No. 30 Turner Scott Motorsports truck in Friday’s Trucks Series race at Daytona International Speedway. He also said he will race in the Nationwide Series race July 27 in Indianapolis.
