Last year, Tony Stewart drove his car inside the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Las Vegas, and Jeff Gordon breakdanced.
This year, Stafford Township native Martin Truex Jr. will be part of the festivities at the NASCAR After The Lap event at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas on Nov. 29.
"NASCAR After The Lap is one of the crown jewels of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion's Week," Norris Scott, vice president of partnership marketing for NASCAR, said in a news release. "Our top drivers take their helmets off and celebrate the season with our fans, resulting in a wildly entertaining evening and a unique platform.”
Truex will be part of the event after qualifying for the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship for the first time since 2007. All 12 Chase drivers will be there.
Tickets cost $20, but fans can win a trip to the event by entering sweepstakes at NASCARafterthelap.com.
