Atlantic City should have a monorail!

Right? How many times have you heard that? Las Vegas has one. Disney World has one. It’s just what Atlantic City needs. Countless folks have said it over the years.

Yeah ... well ...

That monorail in Vegas? It’s in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In 2010, even as business inched up in Vegas, monorail ridership fell 13 percent.

Now Las Vegas Monorail Co. has  filed a reorganization plan in the hopes of wiping out most of its $658.8 million debt. Bondholders are going to take a bath.

Yeah ... just what Atlantic City needs.
