Another week's flown by, and now we're little more than a day away to the fourth episode of season two. Hard to believe we're almost one-third through the "Jersey Shore" season. ... Anyway, here are the two questions I have heading into tomorrow night:
Question No. 1: Is Sammi through with playing the love fool?
The whole Sammi-Ronnie, on-again, off-again relationship is not my favorite part of "Jersey Shore." I would be fine if they jumped ahead to a Lindsey Buckingham-Stevie Nicks-style detante and could at the very least tolerate each other while moving on.
But I'm really looking forward to Sammi - finally - sticking up for herself. It's been a long time coming. And if the preview are to be believed, she's gonna take Ronnie out back for a whuppin'. I'm always a bit guarded in predicting the end of these two, though; they have a phoenix-like habit of rising from the ashes of another blow-up, seemingly stronger than before.
I think this time's different. For one, Ronnie's a creepin' fool these days, and apparently you just don't go cold turkey from that behavior. For another, Sammi - as much of a pushover in this relationhip as she's been - has shown flashes of giving as good as she gets. Armed with the knowledge of Ron-Ron's extracurricular flings, even if they amount to little more than heavy petting a little swapped saliva, I think the levee's gonna break.
I wouldn't want to be in the room when that happens. But I would want my ear pressed up against the wall of the room next door. Not that these two are prone to calmly whispering the disagreements out.
Question No. 2: Are we about to see the creation of Hurricane Snooki?
SPOILER ALERT. Seriously, if you're one who doesn't want to be spoiled about anything, even "Jersey Shore," read no further.
Snooki's going to get a phone call, and it's not good for her relationship with boyfriend Emilio. I wrote last week about missing life of the party Snooki, and I have a feeling tomorrow night is going to see at least the beginnings of the rebirth of that wild child.
Can Miami put up with The Snookster in all her glory? Well, it did have Shaq for quite a few seasons, so it's doable. But then, when Snooks is on a mission it's best to stay out of her way. Look for her roommates to rally around her (Angelina, take notes and look on with envy), and maybe, just maybe, we'll see Snooki tie one on and take South Beach by storm.
