A rematch of last season’s Cape-Atlantic League high school boys basketball championship takes place tonight.

Middle Township (5-1) plays at Atlantic City (6-0) at 7 p.m.

Atlantic City rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Middle 40-37 in last season’s title game at Richard Stockton College on Feb. 25.

Both team are among the state’s best this season. Atlantic City is No. 1 in The Press Elite 11, while Middle is No. 4.

Atlantic City relies on its frontcourt of Dennis White (12 ppg), Ga-briel Chandler (14.3 ppg) and Jahlem Montague (5.5 ppg). Guards Isaiah Graves (10 ppg) and Dayshawn Reynolds (11.7 ppg) also average double figures for the Vikings.

Middle is a veteran, unselfish team. The Panthers feature senior guards Darrell Shelton (14.6 ppg) and Tom Catanoso (11.2 ppg) as well as senior forwards Tom Feraco (12 ppg) and LaMarr Greer (9.2 ppg).
