Gary Melton and Damon Mitchell lead Cedar Creek to victory over Middle

EGG HARBOR CITY – The Cedar Creek High School football team overwhelmed an undermanned Middle Township in the second half en route to 48-14 win in a Cape-Atlantic League National Conference game this afternoon. Cedar Creek (6-0) and St. Augustine (6-0) remain the conference’s only undefeated teams.

Running back Gary Melton ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Damon Mitchell.

Mitchell ran for 90 yards and three touchdowns and also threw for 132 yards.

Middle dropped to 3-3 with the defeat.
