Hammonton High School's application to join the Tri-County Conference is moving forward.

Tri-County president and Pitman athletic director Mike McAleer said Friday the conference at its March administrators meeting voted unaninmously to forward Hammonton's application to each Tri-County school's Board of Education for approval.

Two-thirds of the league's boards (13) must approve the application for Hammonton to be accepted, according to McAleer, who added those votes should be completed by May.

Hammonton has until July to notify the Cape-Atlantic League it is leaving. Hammonton would not join the Tri-County until 2014-15.
