The playoffs begin Nov. 9-10. The championship games are the first weekend of December. The South Jersey title games will be played at Rowan University.

Here is a look at the contenders in Group V:

 Group V

Clinched: Williamstown (7-0) and Eastern (5-2)

Contenders: Southern (4-2); Toms River North (4-2); Absegami (4-2); Washington Township (5-1); Atlantic City (4-2); Cherry Hill East (3-4); Millville (3-3); Egg Harbor Township (3-3).

With two teams in, there are eight teams competing for six spots. The key number in this group appears to be five.

Five wins should earn teams enough power points to make the field. A key game will be next weekend when Atlantic City meets Absegami. The winner of that contest will almost certainly earn a playoff berth regardless of the outcome of this weekend's games.
