LAKEWOOD - Danielle Leavitt of Lacey Township High School won the Shore Conference girls cross country championship Tuesday afternoon.

The sophomore covered the 3.1-mile course at Ocean County Park in an unofficial time of 17 minutes, 36 seconds.

Leavitt didn't run cross country as a freshman. She played soccer last fall for Lacey.
