The postseason awards have begun to roll in for Mike Trout.

Baseball America named the Millville resident and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim star its Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year. Trout is the first player to win both awards in the same year.

Baseball America is a magazine that covers the sport. Trout, 21, produced a historic year in his first full-season with the Angels.

Trout batted .326 average with 30 home runs, 49 stolen bases and 129 runs scored.

Trout is considered a shoe-in to be named the American League Rookie of the Year. He also is a leading candidate for the American League Most Valuable Player awards.

The Rookie of the Year award will be announced on Monday, Nov. 12 and the MVP awards will be released on Thursday, Nov. 15.
