Nelson then slipped a no-look pass to Justyn Mutts for an easy layup just before the buzzer sounded.

The play did more than just help propel the Hermits to an impressive road win. It was a sign of things to come.

Nelson, a sophomore, scored 24 point and Mutts, a freshman, added 10 as St. Augustine defeated Southern 65-58. Penn State football recruit Mike Gesicki scored 22 points and blocked two shots for Southern (5-3). St. Augustine  (9-1) is No. 9 in The Press Elite 11.
