PHILADELPHIA - The Phillies and the New York Mets waited out the rain tonight.

Their game was suppose to start at 7:05 p.m., but it was delayed by rain. The grounds crew pulled the tarp from the field at about 8 p.m.

The Mets (14-11) and Phillies (13-12) are both off to solid starts. Tuesday's game featured the first home start for Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels.
