Bill Horin started ArtC as an “organization dedicated to promoting the arts in southern New Jersey”. I’ve known Bill for a long time, ever impressed by his striking still photographs in portraiture, fashion, food, pretty much every aspect of still photography. And when Bill moved into video I had no doubt that his productions would be of the same caliber. Now his passion for photography and art are focused on ArtC. For the second year ArtC will be hosting a two-day event at the Richard Stockton College that will bring talented professional photographers to speak and display their work. The event is in partnership with the Noyes Museum of Art and Stockton. I attended last year’s presentations and was impressed with the speakers and their work. Conceptual photographer Michael Tcherevkoff will speak on Wednesday April 3 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. David Todd McCarty, will be the speaker on Thursday April 4 from 6:30pm to 8pm and will focus on portraiture. It’s an opportunity to hear great photographers talk about their inspiration and how they created their images. And it’s free. There will also be several workshops and portfolio reviews. Find out more information from the ArtC website: http://www.artcnow.com/. I’ll be there on Wednesday to review Stockton student portfolios.
