GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Shanshan Feng couldn’t wait to tee off at the second of the ShopRite LPGA Classic today.

With the way she finished the first round, she couldn’t be blamed.

The 23-year-old from China shot a 4-under par 67 this morning on the Bay Course at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club and is the current clubhouse leader with a 36-hole total of 6-under-par 136.

Feng played the first three holes in Friday’s first round in 3-over par. She played the remaining 15 in 5-under-par for 2-under-par 69.

On Saturday, she played in the calm morning conditions and birdied four holes in a row on her front nine.

Feng burst on the LPGA scene last year when she won the Wegmans LPGA Championship. She is the first male or female player from China to ever win a major championship
