Kutztown softball advances to D2 championship rounds

Kutztown softball advances to D2 championship rounds By SUSAN LULGJURAJ, Staff Writer The Press of Atlantic City Media Group

The Kutztown University softball team has advanced to the championship round of the NCAA Division II softball tournament.

The Golden Bears won the NCAA Atlantic Regional and the NCAA Atlantic Super Regional to get to Louisville, Ken.

Kutztown (51-5) defeated Augustana today 4-0 to advance and are just three wins away from a national title. Kutztown is in a double elimination round of the tournament.

Absegami graduate Maria Isgro is 4-for-16 (.250) with three runs, three walks and an RBI in the D2 Tournament.

Kutztown plays again on Thursday.
