GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - The Richard Stockton women's basketball team lost to Rowan University 67-52 on Saturday afternoon, making its chance to make the playoffs much, much harder.

Stockton has to win its next game clinch a spot in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs. If it loses and Rowan wins the next game, the two teams will then end the season tied in the standings and then rely on a coin flip to decide their fate. Read more about the playoff scenario here.

Stockton was led by Lauren Alwan with 13 points and 11 rebounds and LaTonya Oliver who had 11 points and 13 rebounds. However, Stockton shot just 24.6 percent from the field (17-for-69), including just 17.6 percent (6-for-34) in the first half.

Rowan was led by Kate Matthews who had 18 points and 14 rebounds.
