Business: Anytime Fitness Mays Landing
Location: Festival at Hamilton, Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing
Owner: Myke Collazo, 40, of Mays Landing
Anytime Fitness Mays Landing has moved a short distance and reopened in upgraded facility, with a new look and new services.
"We expanded and remodeled, and moved to the other side of the Festival at Hamilton shopping center," said owner Myke Collazo, of Mays Landing.
The traditional Anytime Fitness purple color has been complemented by softer and more natural tones courtesy of Fabiano Designs.
The new 4,800-square foot gym floor better organizes workout areas and allows Anytime Fitness Mays Landing to offer more services.
"We're now offering classes, which we never did before, and group training," Collazo said. "One that's really taking off here is Insanity. That's kind of like a mini-boot camp, with core conditioning and a lot of jumping."
He said the gym works with individuals to set up a fitness program that will work for them.
"We actually set people up with programs that are results-driven. In my mind, nothing is more important than results," Collazo said. "It's almost like a map to success, so our members can have a chance at winning at this thing."
Anytime Fitness Mays Landing still caters to individuals who want the flexibility to work out when they want, at any hour.
"We're catering to comfort and convenience, creating a space where people feel comfortable," Collazo said. "We're really going after people who don't feel comfortable in some gyms."
He said the remodeling effort was part of the gym's commitment to provide members with a clean, upscale and inviting environment.
One popular element is the "Inspiration Wall."
"It's a place where we can write our goals down, offer words of encouragement, share tips and celebrate our achievements," Hash Hernandez, a long-time member, said in a statement.
