Rendell names lawyer to Pa. slots gambling board

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The newest member of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is Kenneth Trujillo, a Philadelphia lawyer who was an investor in a group that unsuccessfully sought a slots license.

Gov. Ed Rendell announced the appointment Wednesday.

Trujillo is a former Philadelphia city solicitor and federal prosecutor who supported Rendell's run for governor in 2002.

He was an investor in the group that unsuccessfully sought a license to build what would have been known as the Riverwalk Casino in Philadelphia.

He's filling a vacancy created by the recent resignation from the board of former NFL referee Sanford Rivers.
