Jones joins foundation

Brian W. Jones, senior vice president and chief lending officer for Newfield National Bank, was recently elected to the board of trustees of the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County.

The foundation provides assistance to Gloucester County residents who have experienced financial hardship.

Sturdy Savings Bank

names 2 vice presidents

Sylvia Back, manager of the finance department, and training officer Holly McClure have been promoted to vice president at Sturdy Savings Bank.

Back, who joined the bank in 2006, will now serve as the bank's controller. A graduate of Rider College, she previously worked for Price Waterhouse, Borden Inc. and Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation.

McClure has served in several positions during her 25 years at the bank. She attended Atlantic Cape Community College.

Roesch joins

Parker & Partners

Parker & Partners Marketing Resources has hired Dave Roesch to lead graphic design in its creative department.

He previously worked for Viking Yacht Co. and Masterminds Advertising, and graduated from Ramapo College. He lives in Smithville, Galloway Township.

SOCH elects

staff officers

Dr. Steven Koerner has been elected president of the SOCH Medical Staff for a two-year term. He has been practicing in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township since 1994, having received his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri.

Also elected were radiation oncologist Dr. Joseph Lattanzi as vice president; interventional radiologist Dr. Thomas Yu as secretary treasurer; and otolaryngologist Dr. Lynn Bezpalko as member at large.

Holly Shores owners

give $8,334 to hospital

David and Maggie Robinson, owners of Holly Shores Campground in Lower Township, have given Cape Regional Medical Center $8,334, the first installment of a three-year, $25,000 pledge.

The donation will fund the renovation of a patient room in the intensive care unit.

Maggie Robinson worked in the unit as a registered nurse in the early 1980s.

Fire engine donated

The Cumberland Insurance Group has donated $1,000 to the Bridgeton Firefighter's Mutual Benevolent Association Local 52 to restore the city's antique 1944 Mack Open Cab Fire Engine.

Subway opens

in local hospital

A Subway restaurant has opened at Cape Regional Medical Center in the east lobby, replacing the former Bistro.

The restaurant is open 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
