Alloy, Silverstein is a medium-sized, regional accounting firm. We offer the resources of a specialty practice firm without sacrificing personal service to our clients. We've been in the South Jersey for 50 years.

We have three separate companies: The core company is the accounting firm, with accounting services, tax preparation and planning, and financial statements for small businesses. We also have a financial services company. We work with our clients to provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management. The third company is Abacus Payroll Inc., a full-service payroll company.

I've been with Ally more than 26 years, starting as a junior accountant.

I'll help someone start a new business, or give an individual tax advice, or help people save money for their children's education. If needed, I'll bring in someone from our financial services division.

I do tax work for small business clients, and we have people who can set up and manage their retirement plan.

Entry: I've wanted to be an accountant since I was in high school. I took an accounting course, and the teacher was a practicing accountant. It was more like bookkeeping in high school. Then I went to Rider, a very good business school, for accounting.

I worked at a small firm for about a year, and then started at Alloy. Alloy opened an office in Hammonton about five years ago. That led to my involvement with the Hammonton Chamber of Commerce.

That worked well for me, with my social ties to the community, my husband and children here. I started as chairwoman of the chamber membership committee, and two years ago was named vice president.

Last month, I became president of the Hammonton Chamber for a two-year term. We foster economic opportunity and promote the town as a great place to live, work and establish a business.

We sponsor events throughout the year. Our next is a huge event, the Red, White & Blueberry Festival on Sunday, June 30.

About me: I spend a lot of my time with my family and relaxing, and we enjoy going out.
