Wedding weekend planned for Vineland

Main Street Vineland will hold its second annual Downtown Wedding Weekend from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 500 to 800 blocks of Landis Avenue.

More than 20 downtown businesses will participate, displaying merchandise and services for the bride- and groom-to-be from gowns and formal wear, shoes, and jewelry to flowers, printing services, limousines, bakeries and restaurants.

Brides and grooms who register at half the participating vendors will be eligible for prizes including $450 in jewelry from DeSoto Jewelers and more than $1,000 in gift certificates.

Taste of Vineland for revitalization

“A Taste of Vineland,” sponsored by Main Street Vineland, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 19 at Mori’s on Landis, 830 E. Landis Ave., Vineland.

Event will include samples of signature dishes from many of Vineland’s finest restaurants, live music, silent auction, beer and wine and champagne.

Shore Medical Center presents Senior Expo

The Greater Atlantic City Chamber and the Katz JCC will host the Sixth Annual Senior Expo presented by Shore Medical Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Jewish Community Center in Margate.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include information, complimentary health screenings, and entertainment for active adults, seniors, senior care givers, and those planning to retire. There will also be raffles, as well as light food.

Activities, which will be available throughout the entire day, will include exercise classes, dancing, use of the JCC fitness center and equipment for the day, and social interaction. JCC and Shore Medical Center staff will lead lectures and activities throughout the day in the 75,000 square foot JCC facility.

Chamber plans golf and mixer

The Greater Atlantic City Chamber will hold a nine-hole golf networking outing and mixer on Sept. 19 at McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links and the Library Pub & Grille in Egg Harbor Township.

Golf will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. and cost $30; networking from 5 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $10 for nonmembers.

Egg Harbor City chamber plans mixer

The Greater Egg Harbor City Chamber of Commerce will host its first-ever Fall Business Mixer at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Joseph’s Restaurant, 72 N. Bremen Ave.

The event is open to chamber members, non-member businesses and the public.

“This is an opportunity for business owners to network their products and services to other businesses on a one-to-one basis, and for the general public to get to know their local merchants,” chamber President Jim Schroeder said.
