Calemmo named president of Main Street A.C.

Kenneth J. Calemmo Jr. has been appointed president of Main Street Atlantic City.

Calemmo is chief operating officer of the law firm of Cooper Levenson and is the immediate past chairman to the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce.

NJBIA honors local developments

The Marina Thermal Facility in Atlantic City and Stafford Park of Stafford Township are among a dozen commercial and industrial developments in the state to receive New Good Neighbor Awards from the New Jersey Business & Industry Association and New Jersey Business magazine.

The Marina Thermal Facility is a combined heat and power energy plant. Stafford Park turned an old landfill into a new shopping center.

Free workshop on federal contracting

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and the NJSBDC Procurement Program will offer a free workshop on federal contracting from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at Stockton’s Carnegie Center in Atlantic City.

Representatives will train small-business owners on how to do business with various entities, how to access procurement opportunities, and how to complete the certification and registration process for small business, as well as for women- and minority-owned businesses.

Galloway group to hold mixer

The Galloway Township Business Association will hold a PowerMixer networking event at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Swim Club, just off Sixth Avenue on Tess Conover Drive behind the Township Municipal Complex.

Chamber breakfast on major projects

On Wednesday, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber will host a Major Construction Projects Breakfast Forum from 8 to 10 a.m. at Atlantic City Country Club, 900 Shore Road, Northfield.

Presentations will be made by representatives from: Atlantic County government, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the South Jersey Transportation Authority, Aviation Research and Technology Park, Atlantic Cape Community College, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Fishermen’s Energy LLC.
